How to Stay Connected While Traveling with an e-SIM

I was traveling in Asia with my family a few months ago. While there, we wanted to stay connected with our loved ones back home, so we got a travel e-SIM. Having an e-SIM makes it so easy to stay in touch with everyone. Here are a few tips on how to stay connected while traveling with an e-SIM:

Have a good data plan.

Before leaving, ensure you have a good data plan with your carrier. You don’t want to end up with a huge bill when you get home, so spending a little extra on a good data plan is worth it. We got the Asia 7 countries e-SIM with 2GB daily data, which was great. We were connected to the following Telcos in each of the countries below without any trouble:

Singapore: M1
Malaysia: DiGi
Thailand: Dtac
Indonesia: XL
Cambodia: Smart
Hong Kong: SmarTone
Macau: CTM

Get a portable charger

We’ve all been there. You’re out and about, enjoying a day or a night on the town, and with all the photos you’ll be taking and the videos you’ll be watching, your phone’s battery will take a beating. You start to panic, thinking about everything you need to do that requires a working phone. But don’t worry, there’s a solution! Get a portable charger. It can save you from a dead phone battery, giving you the power you need to stay connected.
There are a lot of different portable chargers on the market, so how do you know which one to choose? Well, it depends on your needs. If you want something that can charge your phone multiple times, you’ll want to select a higher-capacity charger. But a smaller charger will do the trick if you just need a little boost to get you through the day.
No matter which charger you choose, you’ll be glad you have it the next time your phone battery starts to die.

Use WhatsApp

WhatsApp is a great way to stay in touch with family and friends while traveling. It’s easy to use and free, so there’s no reason not to use it.
WhatsApp is a cross-platform messaging app that allows users to exchange text, audio, and video messages without paying for SMS. You can also make video and voice calls without incurring additional charges. It’s available for iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, and Nokia phones. WhatsApp is free. You can send and receive unlimited messages and make unlimited calls without ever paying a cent.

Keep your phone in airplane mode when you’re not using it

Keep your phone in airplane mode when you’re not using it. That way, you won’t be bothered by calls, texts, or emails. And, you’ll save battery life.

But, there are some exceptions. For example, if you’re expecting an important call, you’ll want to keep your phone turned on. And, if you’re traveling internationally, you’ll want to keep your phone in airplane mode, so you don’t incur roaming charges.

Don’t forget to enjoy your trip!
